Due to be announced as manager today.
Not sure if that is good news for them or not.

I wonder if Gannon applied (he hasn't been mentioned in the press I've seen) and if not where will he end up ........maybe back at Stockport after a summer with no salary? Now that would be sad

Here and There
Apparently...

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale has emerged as the leading contender to replace Steve Coppell as Reading manager. (The Sun)

So Gannon to Exeter?

At least now we wont have him being linked with EVERY single job in the ENTIRE world.

Fair enough but when Gannon turned us down there was some conjecture that he was lined up (had lined himself up?) to take over at Blackpool in the close season. That hasn't happened (shows what we know on here doesn't it) and that leaves him in limbo....which given how highly rated he was comes as a bit of a surprise. Certainly couldn't see him migrating to Exeter if one of his main reasons for refusing us was to not move his family.

God, that presumably means we'll get to endure Holloway's self-absorbed wackiness for at least another few months.

Can't wait for the "barrel of boobs" line, yet again.

Ian: you're so CRAZY.

Lets face facts about Gannon, whilst he done an excellent job at Stockport, he was incredibly lucky with the players he had coming through the ranks in the 3 years he was manager there.

One of the main issues he'll have is that he's very outspoken and has publicly criticised not only referees, but his board of directors as well and despite his reasons being honorable, that will put alot of clubs off appointing him as manager.

He's only managed to get one club up via the play offs and despite his record he's a big gamble.

He may take the Exeter job if it comes up, but I doubt it, as I don't think he even knows where the South of England is having played for Stockport all of his career!!!

I heard Gannon is leading a consortium to buy Stockport. If I remeber correctly what I heard/read etc I think one of the men putting the money in was Sean Connery.
