Home at Last.
Yes I do realise it is a very busy store, but on visiting yesterday evening with Krispies and his son I looked at the state of the mushrooms. They were all overripe and past their best. On closer examination I noticed the sell by tickets on the cartons were at best for the 2nd and at worst on the 30th.
I then called over one of the shop workers. She started, "No they are fine. We put the blue punnets out the back and refill them from a bigger hopper, and sometimes forget to change the label."
She also had a male worker with her who was nodding in agreement.
Now this may be the truth. But having spoken to people who have worked on farms I suspect this is not the case. Whilst collecting the mushrooms, they all stated that they but them in large punnets, like the ones I saw.
If this is the case there. Please look at their sell by dates and ask questions. One they make enough profit, and secondly and far more important, I do not want to hear of anyone going down with food poisoning.
