Not true - Dowie is working on a non-contract basis at Oldham (his request) because of the current unstable position of the club. Oldham would not be able to stop us talking to him.

On top of this, Stockport and Northampton are also said to be after him, and he openly came out and said he wanted the West Ham job.

However, my sources tell me Knight already has an agreement in place with him to take over.
