Would recommend using a good website like Travel Republic for the best no single supplement deals. Package companies like Thomson probably won't even let you book as a single holidaymaker in high season, and in low season will bump up the price by a hefty premium. But with, say, Travel Republic, you book the flight and hotel as seperate items so there's few, if any, single supplements payable. Enjoy!

Depends what you're looking for, Budapest is both beautiful and cheap, and Wizz Air (the Hungarian version od Easyjet - I've flown with them, they're OK) fly direct from Luton. Has a good nightlife and there's plenty to do during the day as well. (If you're into rock, check out the Rocktagon - easy to find it's by the Oktagon tube station). Don't bother with the strip joints though, they're virtually all just clip joints.

Prague is also an amazing city, beautiful with a good nightlife. Not as cheap as it used to be though.

If you want history, Rome is an awesome city. If you just want parties, then the Greek islands are good value atm, or come over to Cyprus and check out Aya Napa.

Toi get good advice you need to be a bit more specific

A few months ago I would have recommeded Beirut. Hotels are cheap, nightlife is awesome, loads to see during the day, I went there the easter before last, had a whale of a time. It's become less stable since Syria kicked off though.

Expedia normally have good flight + hotel deals as well, but the cheapest way is often to book flights and hotels separately on different sites. Skyscanner is awesome for flghts, it checks dozens of online travel agents and direct airline costs and will usually find you the cheapest seat on a particular flight. Booking.com is often cheapest for hotels, and booking single rooms is easy.
