I'm looking at 10 days in the Cape Verde Islands for 10 days from September 17.

Anywhere in Turkey... Value for money and almost guaranteed good weather. friendly people and cheap food and drink.

This plus Eqypt on the Red Sea and any of the Canary Islands. Great bargains to be had in September. Watch out for long transfer times in Egypt and Turkey. UTA

This. Went to Side (pronounced Sea Day) last year, and loved it so much, for the first time ever we are seriously considering going back to the same place this year. We went for the first 2 weeks of Sept, and it was mostly in the high 30's. As Muzzy said, the food is cheap (and good), the beer is cheap (and good, EFES), and the locals were very friendly.

Going to the Hotel Tahiti - Formentera for the first two weeks in September. Probably the last unspoilt holiday destination in the Mediterranean. Went last year and it is superb for couples. Very few Brits go there, preferring Ibiza, mainly Italians. Plenty of restaurants and a beautiful white sandy beach which is open to naturists so expect some shocking sights :)

Or if you really feel like splashing out try the Gecko Beach Club - Formentera

Santa Maria?
Which Hotel?

Yeah, Rui complex all inclusive - brilliant if a little basic. not 5* really but we loved it! wonderful beaches and loads of different stuff to eat. Or pizza and chips if you want!
