I went to Zurich in April for a couple of nights. The bad news is it's not particularly good. The good news is I found it was more like £5.50-£6 a pint rather than £8.

I went about 4 years ago and quite liked it but that was mainly because my mate lives there and knows all the 'off the beaten track' pubs and places to go. We also went to Leichtenstein for an afternoon which was interesting (well, not really interesting but another place to tick off the list).

5 nights at Potters in Norfolk , 9 nights in Croatia and 21/2 weeks in Ukraine for Euro's . So that's done me for this year i think .

Germany and Holland(by Motorbike) in July following a brilliant New Year in Cuba then Spain for a weeks bucket and spade break in August, - skint now so XMas in Sunny Shoreham.

Not been a bad year.

Had 4 days in Poland for the euros. Had 3 days in the UK on a cricket club Tour. Had a week in Alsace in France lapping up great wines and cuisine. And still have a week to come in Cocoa Beach Florida to see my ailing daddie....

I know exactly what he does, he said on the other thread. As a HOLIDAY when it's my money being spent and I have a free choice of what to do, I can't think of much worse as I explained. As a JOB, it doesn't get much better than being paid to travel the world.
