Hoddle or Venables

Why do people think, just because you have been out of the game for a few years then you can't manage no more. What a load of old tosh. Half the managers who go from club to club can't manage, that's why they keep getting sacked. I wouldn't touch Venables with a bargepole, but I think Hoddle has a lot of unfinished business in the game. Has always said he would return for the right job and if Chelsea come sniffing around in the summer, Poyet will be off like a shot... But that would be a win win situation. Because in order for Chelsea to come after Poyet, it will mean we have either won promotion or gone very close in the play offs. Then we would be a very attractive proposition for Hoddle.

Eddie Howe is the only young British manager who I think has anything special going on, I think it would have to be Charlie maybe to be given a shot or Mourinho (However it's spelt!)

Can someone tell me what Karl Robinson has actually done at Mk Dons, to make him so sort after??? Because from where i'm sitting, he has had all the tools given to him and actually done nothing as yet. Bit like Lee Clark, another one who was touted for every job, while at Huddersfield. Even though he failed to get them up, despite having a massive playing budget and Jordan Rhodes. Karl Robinson is a million miles away from being ready for a job the size of this club now.

Inclined to agree re Robinson. MK have a pretty decent budget by the standards of L1, they must be paying Alan Smith a fair whack, for example, and can afford Harley's wages for his loan. Every season, amusingly, they get close and fail. Robinson just moans about referees every time I see him.

Howe is an odd one, perhaps he just feels at home at Bournemouth, as he didn't exactly pull up trees at Burnley.

Really really really really no to both.

They have had their opportunities and these would be a step backwards. I'd rather someone takes over who will carry on what Gus has started...not some old fart who thinks that English football should be kick and rush!

What he said.
Hoddle has proven himself to be incompetant (sp?) and Venables is a great guy but simply a dinosaur compared to Gus.
besides which Gus ain't going nowhere!!

I'd rather have Noel Edmonds with Mr Blobby as his number 2.
