That's ridiculous! She didn't give anything anyway on the phone. She picked the phone up and passed it on, why is she a hoax victim? What part of the hoax did she f*** up on other than pressing a button, what did she say to the Djs which made her a victim?
If she's the victim then so is the phone line company for not getting the Royals a secure line or the security for not getting to the call first, after all, they have been surrounded by a lot of pedophiles of recent. You'd think they'd up her security?

There were several victims in all of this, such as the nurse who did not successfully screen the call (and who may have considered herself incompetent as a result) the nurse who, having thought the call had been screened, who divulged medical information over the phone, and also a pregnant woman. Just because you can't see this doesn't mean it's not the case.

After the last couple of days when you have "Exposed" Price Andrew as a paedophile, along with others in the Royal Family, and are now claiming the Royal family have somehow ordered the killing of this nurse, if I was you I'd be worried, I think you may be next.

I think a little bit of hindsight is being used here. Firstly, they never expected to be put through and secondly nobody could have anticipated that this would be the result. Including people now so quick to judge them.

I have to agree with this, but without excusing them;
there is a marked decline in respect from the media, that spreads through the public.
On any given day there are people in disregard of consequences for others 'so long as there's something in it for me'.
Our Western culture lauds the bad behavior over the good. Cheating at sports is our obvious concern, yet some think it's ok now because "everyone does it".
Porn is so available on the net, and young kids witness adults doing whatever.

If we as a culture are going to call devout Muslims fanatics, surely we had better take a look at the ways of the World they are resisting?

Ok so you the reader might think this is extreme for this subject - but someone else has taken their small failure so deeply to heart, that to them it is a completely shameful dereliction, and dishonour.
To reflect their feeling of responsibility for their own profession, we have to re-examine the responsibility of the entertainment profession.
If Tom Cruise committed suicide from South Park intimating he's gay, where does that put their humour? Cruel?
On another front we hear of dj's misusing their position as celebs (why is a dj even celebrated?), and their employers now get the scrutiny of responsibility for 'letting' that situation happen.

Perspectives will differ, but if the shockjocks go on overstepping marks or pushing boundaries without concern for consequences to their subjects of comedy and ridicule, then we have really strayed as a culture.

p.s. I am not a royalist, but I now feel sympathy to Kate and William as regular human beings too.

I disagree, although it is a very subjective matter and I'm sure everyone will have different views on it. I won't argue with anyone who thinks it was wrong to do it in the first place. My gripe is purely with the media reaction and the way it has been reported.

For me pranks, jokes and wind-ups are all part of human life and a big part of our interaction with each other. There have been countless TV shows based around playing pranks on the unsuspecting public. Beadles About was massive when I was growing up, and some of the Japanese prank shows are properly extreme.

The problem is that some people get it and some people don't, you can't vet everyone beforehand to see if they are a suicide risk though, this situation is just a massively unfortunate coincidence.

In all fairness though, pranks are all well and good but at the very best it was hugely distasteful to pull one on a hospital. Nurses are under huge amounts of pressure with their jobs, I honestly think it is probably one of the hardest jobs you can do. I imagine this was heightened by the high profile patient involved. I don't think it takes much foresight to realise that pulling a prank on an institution that cares for sick and dying people is a bad idea.
