Just read this Tony, I hope you get well asap mate. I know only too well what you are going through. I was set upon in Queens road and was stabbed, which contributed to my disabilities. There were two of us and five or six of them. Absolute cowards, but at least you have given one of the tossers something to think about, before he tries that again.

Thanks LG and thanks everyone for the good wishes and kind words, basically i was coming home from town and there is a cut through a sort of allyway....i use it all the time and never a problem, there were definatly 4 it might have been 5 guys ages around 20 to 25ish possibly a bit older, they were drunk and i was aware i was vunerable, they attacked me im still not sure if it was intended to be a mugging or not? if it was they didnt get anything!!

Anyway, as soon as it started i did get one of them to the ground and jumped on his head he did scream i did manage to smack 2 others but they obviously overpowered me to a certain degree, I dont think they expected me to fight back which probably saved me to a degree, i did take a right kicking and my body is just one mass of bruises as is me face (they have probably improved that!! ) i have got a few broken ribs and in alot of pain but im ok, I'm positive the one i got to the ground would have had to go to hospital as i know i really hurt him which in turn his screaming stopped the others they sort of stepped back a bit which gave me the opportunity to leave, i was in a helluva mess blood eveywhere, but i just thank god i didnt get stabbed or the like!!

Well done for standing up for yourself to such a bunch of obviously brave c unts! I really do wish you a speedy recovery and hope you feel better soon. If the one guy is bad, hopefully, the OB will have him reported to them and he/they will get their just deserves.

Most enlightning to find you were a Bosun! Maybe it will help a few people who never knew that era to lighten up a little.

I'm pleased you smacked one back. I knew a gay guy who got jumped by a couple of young louts after a dose of homophobia. But, they chose the wrong gay as he was a bit tasty and he smacked one to shit whilst the other ran off. I am not one for violence but at times it seems the only language. I would also love to know how the chav explained away his smashed in face to his mates, I doubt he told them a poof did it.

He has posted in the top secret Mods forum this afternoon - no news on his general state of health, but his sense of humour and passion for dealing with some of NSCs resident dullards doesn't seem to have been blunted by his experience!

It ought to be reported though, especially if Hitony can identify any of the perps.
Assault with GBH is no small matter, and all the time they are probation-free and without any need to furnish their victim with costs or do any punitive making-good - they are available and encouraged to repeat their behavior upon another unsuspecting person.
It's all well and good clobbering them back with a bit of aggro, but there's no satisfactory limit that should be taken as justice meted out on people who behave that way.
