Couldn't believe the checks on the way in. I asked if they did this for every game, oh yes they said.

But why?

The answer must the associated with Leicester fans. Perhaps it is because they would make the most sensible rational person want to launch something harmful at them.
I'm guessing you don't pass the away end at the Amex. Security there is very strong with dogs, lots of barriers to file through and pat downs.
Have to say though, Leicester pat-down went a little higher up my inside leg than any security person has before.

I have written to Leicester and await a response. Not the worst incident by a long way but could have been worse either for me or some poor unfortunate. It will be interesting to see what response I get.
The usual I suspect a £50 Amazon voucher and a half arsed apology 🙄

Lucky bugger......... Yes, I pass the away end but never pay any attention. Doesn't surprise me now that you mention it, just the sort of thing the club would spend so much energy on whilst letting flares in (and ticketless moronic palace fans of course).

I've not experienced that sort of atention at other away grounds though, no every fan being patted down

Sorry to hear about the OPs experience and I hope the scum bag who threw the bottle is caught. Sadly this is why bottle tops are banned at the Amex.

As for the Leicester fans, one of my mates is one and we had a good old catch up in a couple of pubs and it was all very cordial, no issues with their fans at all. Inside the ground I thought they were a lot quieter than normal and from my standpoint heard very little of the usual abuse we get subjected to there. Great atmosphere from us and the acoustics in the corner are just fantastic making it easy to drown out whatever noise the home fans make.

At the final whistle I received a big 'thump' at the top of my right arm , which I felt for a good few hours after. A 3/4 filled plastic bottle had hit me ( still had bottle top on). If it had been 6 inches higher it would have hit the side of my head with more serious consequences. It could equally have hit one of the children that were around. Pretty sure the bottle originated from Leicester fans (i was on the right side of ours) but to be fair if it was a Brighton fan I would hope he/she was caught.

Ok not the bricks or darts of the 70s but we (most of us) have moved on. I will be writing directly to LCFC and copying in BHAFC. I assume they have enough CCTV to pick this out.

Anything else I should be doing?
I wonder if if was thrown by a young lady wearing black... 🤔

Does it warrant starting a thread on here though? Sorry you got hit by a bottle, but im sorry, there are idiots everywhere….just throw it BACK!
Clearly in your opinion it doesn't, not sure where your line is set. As far as I am concerned there should be zero tolerance of this sort of crap. As it was I had to stop a young lad who was thinking of throwing it back.

I raised it on here for two reasons, I asked if there was a process I should follow or whether I should just write an email. Secondly and more importantly in my view we need to continue push back on the idiots who spoil it for people. The incident itself was pretty low key , but that was more down to luck than the bottle tosser's judgement.

As a matter of interest would you report someone who was shouting racial or homophobic abuse or do you class it as banter?
