I think our fans need to stop being such wimps. As soon as anyone says anything negative, this board wets itself. grow up. Our fanbase is shit, now it's being called out. Maybe we should do something about it rather than attacking the media or Potter.

I think the club need to have a look at themselves possibly how they can improve things, if they are upset about Empty Seats and Early leavers I think they need to look more inwardly.

Well the empty seats Barber brought upon himself when he decided to stiff the fans for a fee to be able to hand over their ticket to a friend or family member for games they couldn't make.

And lo, out of the greed came empty seats...........

a whiff of aftertiming here. isnt this being drummed up because of one game, from a few boos apparently not widely heard and noted by reporters to Potter?

Agreed. See also:

- Paul Barber using the words 'customers'
- Ashley Barnes being boo'd / groaned at before he took a penalty against Blackburn
- Glenn Murray not clapping fans at Brentford
- Tony Bloom lays out a plan / ambition to get into the Top 10 and it is used as a stick to beat him with at any opportunity.

This is WORSE than Muzza not clapping the fans

This, sort of. 'Deep-rooted dismay' is a trigger. Potter's either started to believe in his own lazy gormless publicity or the club's setting him up for a fail. Could end messily. Tho Billy Reid could do a job. Heaven knows how he's managed to bite his tongue in the face of Potter's soppy bollocks ideology for this length of time. Tho I guess he's probably got mouths to feed, same as most. Not much different from Charlie Oatway hanging off Poyet's coat-tails

After he'd been briefed.

By setting his stall out against the fans, this footballing nonentity is in serious jeopardy of blowing the best gig he's ever likely to get. Still, his lottery win for this one will still get paid out. So fair play to the bloke for ensuring his family's financial future. And I genuinely mean that. Nice to know that some of the EPL's obscene riches end up in the lap of a genuinely decent genuinely gormless guy

I can't tell if you really like him or not?

Such bile. To quote Fleabag: "bit much".

Be honest, we're not great.

Then again who is?

We're quiet.
Reactive.
Never proactive.
Easily unsatisfied.
Quick to complain.
Slow to praise.
The reverse away from home.

As a collective we aren't much different to most other fan bases.

The thing none of us are is the one thing we want to be.
The one thing we love to be told we are.
We (football fans in general, but obvious my interest is the Albion) just aren't...

the '12th man'.

Yet every fan in the country can point to a moment when we were, but they are few and far between.

No noise at the AMEX unless its moans, the ground is always half empty at 80 mins. We have a lot of plastics. All anyone does is ****ing moan.

The half empty ground on 80 minutes irks me the most, even when we are winning its half empty, I think a lot of people in the stadium are passive and have a season ticket because they can get one and its seen as a status thing in Brighton (IMO). The fanbase has a core level and I think after the pandemic and 5 years in the premier league interest is starting to wane. Would be interesting IF we eventually go down how many people bother hanging around for championship football every week.

I love a late Albion goal partly because I am still dumb founded that people trot off and are happy to miss the conclusion of the thing they are watching. And what with 5-10 mins added on time quite common now there are plenty of late goals flying about in matches. (And because I'm a bad person I like to laugh at them. Sad but true).
