Hinslewood scores.....

Hinshelwood was more than good enough before his injuries. Probably our best defender that first season back in the Championship under McGhee.

That was then, this is now.
His injury record has gone too long for us to carry his P45.

How anyone can deride Whing's speed, effort and application after last season defies belief. He turned up on several occasions to prevent certain goals, and was the ONLY defender I can recall seeing do that.

I think that last season we had many better options than him as central defender and that his only hope for e regular spot would have been at RB instead of Whing, who I dont rate anyway. Hope he does well at whatever position and gets a contract at Aldershot.

I still think he's good enough, but I agree he never seems to be fully fit. I haven't mentioned Whing at all, was merely answering NF9 who said he didn't think Hinsh was good enough. In my opinion it's an issue of health not talent.

I didn't say YOU had derided Whing, but in my same post I answered to others, who have.

Of course it's about health, but then than intrinsic factor applies for every sportsman - otherwise every player who ever got too old or injured would be up for consideration. Their brains still may have the talent, but if the body can't comply then it's over!
