Can we please pick a decent back four and stick with them?

No wonder they always look all over the shop - we must have had about six different central defences this season.

Whing Elphick Lynch / a fit Hinsh Richards

The concern is that we may be spendin Lynch's wages elsewhere and might not be able to afford him back even if we wanted to.

so back in September 13th he was in the wrong frame of mind and it is now December, he has being playing in the Championship, so I would very much doubt he is still in the "wrong frame of mind".

How exactly do you think forcing him to come back from Forest would put him in the "right frame of mind"?

Lynch has harly been a regular in Forest's side anyway! Most Forest fans I've seen speak about him say he's good back up not a starter - and that for a side bottom of the League.

Good back up in the Championship though. I'm sure most back ups in the championship would get into our team. If we brought Lynch back, put him in the team like it or not. He would play and may even end up happy with a first team place, and no longer want to leave.

He wouldn't. He doesnt like Adams and Adams doesnt like him. Heck, even most of his (former) teamates don't like him.

He had been playing week in week out for Forest up until his injury against Blackpool on Saturday
Last few games at left back and granted he would have eventually lost his place to Julian Bennett but it's obvious he's good.
Set up the winner against Barnsley with a beautifully floated cross:bowdown:

Probably back up for centre back and left back if they had a full strength team available but he surely isn't far off and is still a very young defender.

They have also only conceded 3 goals in the last 5 games which I think Lynch has started in all. Not bad for a team in the relegation zone...

"Roommate.... A lad called Doug Loft, who signed for Brighton from local non-league football. He was a good lad and we got on very well."

Well Doug Loft is clearly a fan and I'm sure many on here would say thats more than enough

According to SCR when Virgo got his first booking at Oldham they said that was his fifth booking so he muissed the game against Shrewsbury as 5th Bookings come into effect for the first game 7 days from the booking. So he is not eligible to play tomorrow. His 2nd booking became a rede card 1 match suspension from the next game hence unavaiable against MK Dons.

Also Lynch was substituted in 26th minute for Forest on Saturday either for because of injury, most probably, or he thought Forest team matse werent good enough to play with him.

If Adams plays El-Ahb in midfield, I am turning off the Tele and going down the pub with no Sky to down my sorrows. Hinsh welcome back and best of luck....

Hinsh went to Lewes to get some games under his belt. Now he's done that I guess he's back to get fit for the January games, that's how I read it.

I must admit to being an El Abd fan - he always gives his all. On top of that, I am taking the girlfriend to the game tommorrow, if El Abd doesn't play, she will not be a happy lady (she is already moaning that Kuipers, her other favourite player, is injured!).

Well I hope she enjoys. Agree El-Abh gives 100% but he is not a midfielder in anyone opinion apart from Adams, not a bad right back, bloody awful center half as he makes 3 mistakes each game. I would give 110% if I played but that does not make me a footballer. I think what sums him up is when he did that foul on Friday people were screaming 'off off' as 10 men is a better option than Adam in midfield. hey football is about opinions, so good on you and your girlfriend for your totally wrong opinons.......only joking

Fair enough.

Still a shame to see one of our bright young prospects replaced by a 24 carat donkey though.

Here, here but let's remember that to many on this site Adams still knows best. Laughable I know but true.

According to, SSN Virgo is available tonight, so it would seem that either SCR were wrong about 5th booking or the 2nd Yellow/ Red Card superseeded the previous yellow in which case if he gets booked tonight will miss Colchester.
