Hillsborough do we show support at the next match?

Blimey people, so much for Fans United

It is probably best left to LFC this weekend, this is what they've been fighting for for 23 years. I'm sure there will be an FA/FL led initiative at some point soon.

We're not playing Liverpool, and the JTF96 campaign seems to have achieved its aim; they don't need any further support.

Time now to just have minutes silences on appropriate days, such as anniversaries.

Who exactly would we be 'showing' our support to?

We're not on TV, we're not playing Liverpool, and Navarro and Noone have left.

Leave it to LFC and the JF96 campaigners to decide how they want to play it.

I think it's a wonderful idea but we shouldn't just limit it to football. We are, after all, part of the wider community who share this wonderful planet and are guardians for future generations.

I think a minute's silence before each match to remember those who have died that week in wars, famines, illness, DIY accidents or simply old age.

If an announcement comes out, about Hillsborough i'll applaud or whatever they want us to do, but i don't think we should deliberately go out of our way to do something.

If memory serves, we had 1 minutes silence before the Swindon game directly after Hillsborough (a dull 0-0 draw if I recall). That was where and when we paid our respects.

Actually, I had previously assumed that Liverpool were playing Sheffield Wednesday that day. Hadn't realised that they were actually playing Forest. Shame on me for not noticing such a detail.

Perhaps we could have a little competition to see which stand grieves the most. Rename the ESU as the Princess Diana Memorial Block with those prone to shedding a few tears on the front rows so that the cameras really get an idea of how much we care.

This.

Mawkish drivel of zero relevance to any of us.

Cracking idea. And anyone not crying on the half time fan zone could be SHOT, like they do in North Korea.

No offence, but could we not please concentrate on the MATCH instead? If we must have a pointless and unnecessary tribute of some kind, can we get it out of the way before the game.

And Gully's Girls could make way for "Gully's Grief". Before each game they re-enact the scene of a famous person's death and then it ends with a little funeral with empty coffins carried by local schoolchildren in the undeveloped bit between the East and North Stands. The Mourners in the Corner.

I think if we started with something light and amusing like Rod Hull's death to start off with and then build up at the end of the season to something really special like the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.
