Teams charge different prices depending on the opposition. So Brighton v Liverpool ticket prices are higher than Brighton v Burnley ticket prices. Before the away price cap this meant following Liverpool away costs a lot more in ticket prices than following Burnley away.
Yeah - but isn't that just economics?
If you want to go and see a show at the London Palladium you pay significantly more than a ticket for a show at the Worthing Assembly Rooms. If you want to go racing and see the best horses at Royal Ascot it is going to cost you a hell of a lot more than going racing on a wet Wednesday evening at Fontwell.
If you are privilieged enough to be able to buy tickets to watch IMO the most attractive club side in the world with many of the world's best players then you should pay more for those tickets than going to watch a "lesser" team (like us!).
I see nothing wrong for paying a higher charge when you are getting to see the best.
