Good to see the traffic was just as bad back in 1949!

The ONLY traffic in the 1949 picture is buses and taxis.

These days we see buses, taxis and cars driven by people with enough money to pay the congestion charge.

Great picture! I go past there every day. I notice there are no railings to stop the stupid people running into the road. Clearly they relied on common sense in those days.

The bank with the Craven A sign is now a McDonalds.
