[Albion] Hereford aside what is our most memorable final day?

Was going to ask on the other thread but it's been locked. So please don't use this thread to have a dig at Stuart as it'll end up the same way.

If you take Hereford out of the mix what is the most memorable final day?

Wilkins free kick against Ipswich?

Ulloa header against Forest?

People seem to be mixing up memorable and best.

I'd say the most memorable were the York game and the pitch invasion - something that made the national news

Or 1978 v Blackpool and hearing the Southampton/Spurs match. That was memorable all right, people are still talking about it
Or maybe most people like to look on the positive side?

Good choices though.

Hereford for me was a horrible day, I felt physically sick until the end of the game. Obviously a mahoossive relief, but it felt like there were so many unanswered questions.

I'd go for Ulloas header, but I also remember the last game of the first season last time we were in the top flight. We needed a result against Leeds and won 2-0.

Does the Play Off final count?! If not, Ulloa against Forest.

The last game of 2004/2005 at Withdean against Ipswich was quite memorable too - we'd just had some good news about the stadium from Prescott I think and we were all given Cava in little plastic cups! :lolol: Virgo scored in his last game for us (first time round!) before his brilliantly ludicrous move to Celtic!

I enjoyed the 1 - 0 away win at Port Vale. I think it was the last game of the 2000 / 01 season. Watson scored a free kick.

I also enjoyed the 1 - 0 away win a Rotherham at the end of the 04/05 season. I had just started going out with my now wife and it was the first game I took her to. She knew she was onto a good thing.

2-1 v Bristol City and promotion after an incredible last 8 game streak.

Edit - as a number of posters have pointed out, it was Rovers not City.

That was memorable. A personal favourite was Elm Park as the Biscuitmen got a promotion - singing "you're shit and and you know you are". Funny the things that stick in your memory.

Playoff final for me. The whole day was just such a fun away day, party atmosphere, beer everywhere, all our mates together, beach balls bouncing round the train, and it was when my other half and I first got together.

On second thoughts ... :moo:

Was it a final day at Boro? Would have been if we had won, but in the end we went to play offs, even then though, the second leg against Wednesday was pretty memorable, ultimately neither day was happy, but definitely memorable.

Witnessed an armed robbery that day travelling home via Leicester!
