They both look very serious. Perhaps they think it’s a work meeting?
No champagne flutes in hand or verbally abused hired help in shot, so probably not

I don’t necessarily disagree with you but after 1000+ years of Monarchy it feels like a big burden / responsibility for one generation to seize a moment in time to abolish it. Having said that, with the benefit of seeing what’s in store for them after Queen Elizabeth II, future generations would probably thank us if we did.
Trump, Macron, Putin and that dickhead in Turkey

One of the things I do find amusing about the whole Monarchy thing is that it does go back all those years and you can GUARANTEE that somewhere back through that lot there's illegitimacy somewhere that isn't recognised but means we are actually bowing down to completely the wrong person according to royal lineage
For older readers (of Private Eye), who was Brenda and who was Yvonne?
We need a head of state. One that is basically a figurehead and no more, which is what the Queen is. An elected president would not provide this. I shudder thinking of other countries presidents in recent years… Trump, Macron, Putin and that dickhead in Turkey but to name a few. You can bet the house that if we had a president, Boris would have given Prime Minister the middle finger and gone for president. An absolute ****ing nightmare.
The issue of royal hangers on certainly needs addressing as we have way too many prince and princesses.

She's back! After months of disappearing Lord Lucan styley, Carrie Antoinette has resurfaced. Woah, cut the ice there.
That hat. Tilted at that angle so she doesn't have to look at him?
Like the divorced parents at their kids graduation ceremony, they so don't want to be there together.
Charles is a witless fool

Pictures like this epitomise the whole pantomime. Parading the over-privilege children around in carriages. The peasants being waved at by the richest children in the country while England burns.
Revolting.
How very unfair.
He read History at Trinity, having smashed the entry requirements with a B and a C in his A levels…
I've got a lot of time for William and especially his 7 and a half years of full-time military service.
Being royal doesn't mean that he should be respected any more or less than any other serviceman or servicewoman.
Reverse snobbery is just as unattractive as the regular version.
William's a genuine, non glory-hunting football supporter and loves the beautiful game as much as any of us on here.
And he's clearly interested in supporting mental health charities, especially with guys.
Crouch's podcast from 2020 shows him in an excellent, normal light as someone who enjoys people and likes a laugh.
He doesn't come across as arrogant or entitled. Despite a different and privileged background, he can still connect.
IMHO, the monarchy will be both safe and relevant in his hands.

I agree.
I always like the queen, till the numpty red faced protogammon got hold of her in the late 70s, hijacking the Royals in pursuit of the British Movement agenda. There ain't no black in the union jack.
These days, I very much agree with you. Powerless figureheads are perfect. Dutiful servants of the nations, like the queen. Not entitled dick-heads like the sweat-less rapist.
I think the royals could very well bimble on. Charles is a witless fool, but well-intentioned and mosly harmless. The next in line is a decent lad, with his mother's genes giving him a bit of empathy to go with the German resolve.
Yes, cut the civil list, ensure that the hairy-arse wing of the aristos can't ponce around like the lords and ladies they imagine we imagine them to be, and all will be well.
Tell me again why he deserves untold wealth and land provided by the taxpayer?
