If Martin Butler goes to Rotherham for £150k (rumour, not definite), then I imagine Pardew will want Henderson back, which in this scenario is not him being an arsehole... I imagine most of our fans would want him back bearing in mind we have no other strikers!!!

But I don't think Butler will go (£5k+ wages per week allegedly!), and therefore Henderson will stay for three months. Isn't there a rule that says you are only allowed to extend the loan for either 3 months or the whole season now though? Not sure what the rule is...

I hope we can keep him a bit longer. McPhee didn't exactly impress on Monday.

Not quite sure how the loan system works. Did we use up one of our loans with Leon Knight as he went on to sign for us? Anyone know how many loan players you are allowed in a season?

back of the argus this morning says that he will extend, and unless reading do sell anyone there is no reason why they would want him back.

Neither did Henderson!:nono:

I thought Henderson did alright. Held the ball up, involved in the own goal, harried their defenders. McPhee did sod all when he came on.

Don't think McPhee was on long enough to make enough of an impact. Thought it was Henderson's best match so far and can see him and Leon forming a very good partnership.

As soon as that happens Pardew will recall him :)

He's been OK but no better than that - I wouldn't be too bothered if he were recalled. Can see why he's always been sub at Reading.

I'd trust Coppell to find a decent loan or even cheap permanent signing to replace him, if necessary.

Looks like if Butler goes, we'll be in for Kevin Lisbie from Charlton (who came here on loan before).

So Henderson may sign for an extra month no matter what the scenario at Reading.

Yes Henderson is hardly a new Zamora. Not sure why Pardew rates him so highly. I do think we need another striker though. Henderson or not.

good riddance Henderson we need a quality tall strong striker that can hold the ball up and leon play off sum1 also good in the air if we insist in every cross going 10 ft sky high!

If you read the Millers article properly it is saying the Butler move is unlikely, even though a fee has been agreed.
