Need more convincing before we try to sign him permenantly. Missed Oldham but wasn't too impressed with his QPR performance, although he set up Leon well.???

It can't be just down to Adams though, he left nearly two years ago and people are still talking about it. There must be other personalities. I suspect that a lot of the team spirit is down to Bob Booker and certain of the players, especially Charlie, but some of the others as well.

Agreed, no rpoblem with Adams at all, but players are that little bit more comfortable making deals with SC.

Adams might have started it all but most of the club staff who worked with him remain at the club, Hinshelwood, White, Wilkins etc, so perhaps he got the ball rolling and they have just added the occasional kick to maintain its momentum, so to speak...

I think he is just an old fashioned Centre Forward, the perfect partner for the wee man!
But then again, from what I saw of him Monday,he didnt look that fit!

Have a better look at him tomorrow.

And I lost count of the number of headers that he missed. He really didn't look fit to me.....but I agree there is promise.

I think he's a good player and we haven't seen the best of him yet. I think we'll buy him for a small fee as his contract ends at the end of the season at Reading and he has said he wants to leave.

Where was Darius quoted as saying he wants to leave Reading? First I've heard of it.

Pardew has already said he values Henderson at more than £1 million, so I would be VERY surprised if he were allowed to leave Reading for "a small fee". Not meaning to be condescending or anything, but I think both Pardew and Darius himself see his future as being at a higher level than Division 2.

PS If I understand the current transfer rules correctly, Darius could not leave on a "Bosman" at the end of the season anyway, as he is under 23.

Today's paper.

I think the only thing that is going to take me back to Reading is if someone gets injured, so I will be looking to extend if all goes well."

Henderson, returning to his native Yorkshire to face Barnsley tomorrow, has even hinted at copying Knight by eventually turning a loan move into a permanent one.

"I don't want to say anything just yet but my contract is up at the end of the year and it's just nice to be wanted."

To say he wants to leave was probably a bit presumptuous of me. Although if things work out here I think he'll want to stay. £1 Million my arse!! Zamora was £1.5M!!

At the end of the season I think we'll be in Division 1 although yes it looks like you're right about the under 23 situation.

Obviously with the current climate and so many players out in the cold, they are more eager to get fixed up in a hurry, but there must be something about SC that makes a diff.
It wasn't too long ago players were pissing and moaning about crap training facilities and shit stadium, now they're falling over themselves to be part of the mighty Albion.
We fans have known that for years. Footballers are just a bit slow to catch on.

If we can get him on board the good ship Albion it will be great... just the right sort of player to play alongside little Leon IMHO...

:censored: me, how much does he rate Rougier at then? Most of Saudi Arabia's yearly oil profit?
