Without getting someone in we ll have keep hold of him.otherwise we should let him go needs 5/6 chance to bag a goal.At this level thats no way near good enough.

Dreadful state of affairs if we have to hold on to the bloke who is almost universally acknowledged to be not up to the task at this level, simply because he's Last Striker Standing.

Almost universally acknowledged to be not up to the task at this level? You seem to be displaying an element of narcissism, where you are applying your egocentric negative mindset to the thoughts of others.

I do think we need to be careful that we don't swap Hemed, who does have his limitations, but is settled, knows how we play, gives it everything, keeps himself pretty fit and can take a mean penalty for someone who is also unproven at this level (say Zahore for example) and may or may not be better than Hemed, who may not be a great fit here and could easily fail at this level. If we get better then great but there are no guarantees.

He'll cling on to his Premier League 'elite' striker status to the death obviously. Why on earth would he do anything to jeopardise that in order to request a transfer to a lower division?

Ask Stockdale, if he was offered a 3y contract on a higher wage by a top Championship Club, he should consider it. I am not desperate for him to leave but feel we need a Hemed upgrade tbh.

Morning chaps,

Looks like we've been priced out of our main target Oliveira, so I expect we might go back in for Hemed. I must admit I don't know much about him

Are you guys in the market for another striker today? Can't see him leaving unless you are.

That is what we are all pinning our hopes on. Two strikers in fact.

We've been told for the last few days/weeks we desperately want 2.

If we get them, Hemed is free to leave. Problem is, we seem to be having all of our bids rejected, so whether we get 2 is up in the air....

Yes, I can't believe Hemed will be allowed to leave unless we get two strikers in. Personally, I'm not convinced that is going to happen, we are genuinely going to struggle to find two strikers who represent an upgrade on Hemed.

I personally don't believe he is worth more than 2 million myself. Now 30 and needs at least 3 chances before he scores. Never lasts 90 mins and isn't quick.

Takes good penalties and never really injured are his pluses.

Look at Hemed's goals to minutes played last season and you'll see why you'll be paying £5m+ for him later today when we've landed 2 (two) Premier League level strikers.

He will get you 20 goals this season.

A player who in both seasons with us, has averaged just short of 1 in 2.

He's good for 15-20 goals a season, and clubs are desperate for those players. If you think he's worth £2m or less, thank god you are nowhere near our decision makers.

Love it when people rewrite footballing stats despite a player who people moan about alot. I would be furious paying the figure BHA wants.

This is Hemed who has managed just once in his career so far(now 30) to get above 15 goals in one season.

Scored against you lot in a cup game where you won. He's a good championship striker. I felt he should have done better on the weekend against Watford and as many have said, he won't cut it at this level, maybe this was proven.

Not rewriting anything, they are facts.

He scored 17 in his first season, and 13 last season (15 including the cup) despite only playing 33 games.

Before that he scored 8 and 11 goals in La Liga. All facts, regardless of whether or not people moan about him, he's a good championship striker.
