What game was it last season when for some reason he was angry, clearly angry.
When he finally got onto the pitch, he bullied, hustled then scored with an almighty thunder******* shot.

That Tomer will do well in the Premier League, even before his prowess from the spot.

I loves the normal mild mannered Tomer, and have always been a big fan, but someone needs to piss him off more, next season.

Cardiff.

1. We don't (in the big scheme of things) need £4m
2. We don't need to free up wages
3. He doesn't seem unhappy and he wants a crack at the Premier League
4. We need people who score goals

No logic whatsoever in selling him unless we have already decided definitively that he won't be in the 25 man squad, which seems unlikely.

5. Pissing off Beram Kayal seems counter-productive.

I like Tomer, although perhaps not quite as much as he likes himself, based on his Instagram output.

Does anyone see him as a Premier League striker though - I'm not sure I do, although as someone said on another thread today, very few would have put Vokes and Barnes at that level either.

In the current market, even with just a year left to run, £4m doesn't seem much for someone who will score goals at the right end of the Championship.

A really good point. And what about Steve Cooke and Tommy Elphick? OK I know Elphick is back in the Championship but if you watched us during the Gus years would you have picked out Barnes, Vokes and Cooke as PL players?

Tomer is too similar to Murray so they can't play together but would be more than useful off the bench in the PL. You should - should - actually get a little more time on the ball which means a well aimed cross to him would be dangerous, and we'll have to absolutely bury any penalty we get awarded.

Hemed is too similar to Murray so, reluctantly, we should take the money, but only when we've got a forward in.

But if/when Murray is injured we have no similar player in reserve.
No indication whatsoever we are looking for a target man but rather a mobile player-off to supplement Baldock which does make sense

lol @ some of the comments.

Most teams have about 5/6 strikers they can call upon.

We have 3 . We had 3 for most of last season and got lucky you have to say.

We need to add another 2 .

Hemed has a good goals to game ratio everywhere he's played including La Liga.

No way should we get rid and to replace like for like would be many millions and energy / time.

Add the 2 and keep Hemed as he has a part to play this season.

Hemed is a poor man's Ulloa. Ulloa struggled in the Prem. Hemed would struggle far more. Take away the penalty goals and you start to see the real stats.

True but we wont be playing 2 up front so much this season will we ?...

If we have Gross and Baldock as no10s.... do we really need Murray, Hemed and a further 2 more front men ?

that puts Hemed a long way down the line, you would imagine if we got 2 new front men in they would more than likely be at the head of the Q to play...

Looking at it a different way...

Gross is our no. 10, but we need another like him as back up. Baldock won't really play there, but rather be an option for when we play 4-4-2 with a target man and a faster out and out striker. So we need back up competition for both of these (2 more in), and we have Murray and Hemed as the two target men options.

Hemed has only 1yr left on his contract so quite honestly if Reading come back with another offer say 4.5m-5m we would be mad to reject it, this money could then be used towards adding 2 extra strikers that we need, is Hemed really going to cut it at Prem level???

This all day - lets sell and strengthen with 2 new signings - Hemed not going to cut it at Prem level

Have you not noticed how much it would cost to bring in 1 striker that would strengthen the squad, let alone 2?

Once again I'm amazed by the desire to weaken an incomplete squad.
Sell him when he's not in the 25, not before.

Strewth.

We only have 25 players ( and that includes Ince, Towell, LuaLua and Norwood. ).

Let's not sell anyone before we've bought in some more, otherwise it just increases our requirements and transfer TO DO list.
