Where is the reporting that he wants a move to Spain ?

Many on here some with reputed inside knowledge have mentioned it on other threads. If we cannot sign better by all means keep him as he has served us well but a high value transfer would benefit him financially as he hasnt asked for a move. It also may give him more game time so job satisfaction.

One would think that his next contract would be his last and possibly most important one before running down his career in the Spanish 2nd Division or Israel equivalent if that is his choice.

Ta. "Maybe I will finish my career there" is the quote. And maybe he will but he's only 30 so probably not looking to do so just yet.

True, but with the contract running down.... for me everything points to finishing the last 9 months and returning to Spain on a free.

He's not going to come out and say hes running his deal down and going back to Spain, escpecially when that interview was done.

As Hemeds value goes to zero at the end of the season, what would you prefer to spend £5m on. Hemed or Danny Ings wages for a year?
Surely not a difficult choice.

If a team were to pay £6m for him I dont care how many goals he scores for them or even if he doesnt score any. £6m would be a good deal for us and also for him with his cut of the fee, but it has been reported that he wants to go back to Spain when his current contract is up.

How is 6million a good deal for a proven 20 goal a season championship (and proven international) player ?

Todays market he is easy a 10m player.

If Wood's worth £15M, Hemed has to be worth at least £30M.

Based on what we paid for him and what he has given us in return. Not the ridiculous values branded about this summer like £10m + for an unproven striker for less than 4 weeks like Zohore.

Aren't we paying 10 million for a player who cost 250k not long ago? We will be maximising any transfer fee for Hemed and remember there are Championship clubs as desperate to improve their strike force as we are, so they will be willing (forced) to pay over the top. Window closes soon.....

In today's market with only a year remaining on his contract we will get around 5 million. The more clubs who are interested the better as it will drive the price up. His sale will also look great on the P&L considering what we paid for him.

Is it just me or is it not somewhat distasteful to be talking about one of our players, someone who always leaves it all on the pitch, like he's already gone? We may now be 'premier league' but our players have not just tured into cattle overnight

Have some respect.

to be honest Harry I am not comfortable at dismantling a squad that we have grown to love over the last few years at all. I appreciate they may not be good enough as individuals in the premier, but it appears we have gone out to get new players in a lot of positions...yes we had no choice with Stockers, but those who got us up seem to be discarded to get in untried players who know nothing about us and just want a crack at the premier.

I know this is naive thinking, but I am saddened by all of this

that's a bad deal then.

No way should we be fair in current market.

We lined up with 7 of our championship players in both games thus far. I'd suggest that is more than most promoted clubs do.

In addition, some players we replaced are cover in their respective positions eg. Propper/Sidwell, Suttner/Bong.
