So many Clever Trevor told-you-so's after the bloke finally starts scoring...
He's scored 11 in 17 since the Brentford 3-0 in Feb.
Mind you he had scored 6 in the first 7 so presumably he started scoring in the 2nd game of the season.
Given he proved that he can put em away in the Champ in a reasonably lengthy set of games then shouldn't be that much of a surprise that he did it again in the 2nd half of the season so risky to prematurely write him off during the thin spell and give the Clevor Trevors such leverage.

Murrays first season in the Championship was shocking. He was 28 years old and the highest standard he'd played was League 1.
Palace fans wanted rid of him.
Next season he scored the goals that took them to the Premier League.
Hemed has already scored the same amount of goals as Murray had in his first Championship season. He's done that in half the number of games.
He's 28 years old and the highest standard he's played is La Liga.
I think maybe we should give him a chance.
........still not overly impressed by him, to be honest, goals or no goals. Player Of The Season voting stats suggest a lot of other people are a bit meh about the player also.

On that basis we're all a bit meh about Dale Stephens, Liam Rosenior, etc etc etc.
Bored with your constant apologist stance yet again
Got any subjective opinions of your own? We'd all love to hear them.
What a tediously DULL bounce. At the best of times, bouncing a thread like this is about as impressive as aftertiming on a betting thread. But this takes the biscuit. How many times are people going to bounce it to prove a point.
By doing this, we're in danger of throttling any sort of debate whenever a player isn't performing up to scratch. I don't even agree with THPP but FFS, he was entitled to say he wasn't that impressed when Hemed went about a dozen games without scoring! Unlike Baldock, Hemed's currency is very much in the goals he scores as he isn't anywhere near as good as Baldock off the ball IMO.
Just thought I'd update this thread........
Gray £6m = £250k per goal
McCormack £11m = £524k per goal
Hernandez £10m = £526k per goal
Tomer £1m = £58k per goal
Not a bad investment for his first season in English football

I'd agree the opening gambit was wrong, and I don't even agree with it and never did. But the problem is that everyone else who had sympathy with the OP feels they were painted with the same brush. Chaileyjem and THPP just highlight the problem. We don't really want to drive away the heart on sleeve opinions from this site do we? Even if we don't agree with them. And when Hemed was going through his long barren spell, I'd say it was worthy of debate. It's not really debate though is it, when the title of the thread says that our leading scorer isn't fit for the Championship. That sounds more like a statement of fact then an opening gambit for debate.
I just think a new thread would have been the way forward here.I don't find this a tedious bounce. I call it good value for money and shows that we have got a good recruiting team who work alongside Chris Hughton now, instead of picking players from the equivalent of Football Manager.

That's the nuanced point in relation to the 3 strikers ahead of him in the scoring charts. They are essentially goalscorers: Tomer is an all-round striker.
