Out of our three strikers I would actually have Baldock as first pick, partnered with either Hemed or Murray (Murray on tonight's showing). I just think we look more dangerous and expansive when Baldock plays even if Baldock isn't the player scoring the goals.

I like the Tomer and Murray partnership. They occupy CBs all game, they compete for every high ball, close down, battle back, run channels and both have good movement. 70 mins against those 2 and then pop Baldock on with his movement will leave scenes like tonight when late on we looked fantastic on the break. Tonight Murray takes the plaudits and rightly so. Other times it will be Tomer, Baldock and whoever the other signing maybe. Nice to have options though. Great result tonight

Not at all, 17 goals last season. I think Murray starting is far from cut and dried.

It's a long, long season - we will need a minimum of 4 decent strikers. We have 3. Why knock any of our existing 3 when we are short of forwards.
I'm not convinced Murray is as superior to Hemed as people make out. You forget Hemed was playing in the No.10 role today, not as an out and out striker. It shows he has more to his game, Murray couldn't play that role. Which is why come the end of the season I think Hemed will have more to offer us. I'm not slating Murray at all by saying that.
I joined this thread to have a good laugh at everyone saying Hemed/Murray couldn't play together - they proved they can, very successfully. When a No.10 joins, they won't both start.

Murray is the main man and rightly so, hemed will still get plenty of game time, we can keep both fresh is the plan surely, but Glenn is the better player by some way
He did very well tonight, very exciting. Plays that position more naturally than Hemed, who also did well.

I genuinely can't think of a single thing Hemed is better than Murray at. Maybe penalties. That's about it.

Murray was class tonight and in a different league to Hemed . Hemed looks lacklustre and slow . Would love to see Baldock and Murray up front although I think CH will see Baldock more as a impact sub

Murray will be the main striker , he will score 25 - 30 goals this season with the supply he will get . Easily the best finisher we have Baldock will be 3-4 choice , Hemed will also get a lot of game time but we still need another striker .
17 goals was excellent from hemed last season. He should have scored 20 plus though. i think baldock and murray will start more than murray hemed.

God some people are so fickle, Baldock was useless according to a lot of people on here last season, and here we are just two games into a new season, and all of a sudden he is the answer to all our striking 'problems' up front!
