Help with FM 2006

Is there anyway i can make the 'Playing Games' bit run any quicker, its go so slow and takes ages before i can carry on with the game?? Anyone got any advice.

There's a thing on the left of the playing screen which allows you to speed the play up or slow it down.

not the match i am playing but all the others in differetn leagues etc, also says (play in background) on it

erm...im not sure....i just play i background all the time...it is annoying, and really is the only bit of fm that really fucks me off

at the start of the game it gives you an option how big your database is or something...basically the larger you choose,the more matches stored,hence the longer it will take.

buying a quicker processor would speed it up too

This sounds like the same thing that made me stop playing CM 4 or 04/03 was that is was so slow between games...still to get FM06 so i hope it has improved

Really annoys me that why the hell when i'm managing non league Lewes would i be intrested in the euro pean competitions... AAARRGGGHHH
