[Help] Help: Transit type Van hire in France (Paris) advice/recommendations

I need to hire a transit type van in Paris for about three days to ideally drop off in Dieppe area. Not done this before so I was wondering if any NSCers have any recommendations or advice as to who to use for most cost effective way of doing it.

Due to circumstances I need to pick up in Paris so I would do it the other way and drop back in Paris. That is an option though. But if I dropped off in Dieppe I would cover the cost of the premium by getting the ferry back as a foot passenger rather than driving back to Paris and then flying back.

I used Avis when hiring a car from Rennes Airport France. Very easy to book online beforehand and staff spoke good English. Should be fairly easy to pre-book online via any established firm but not cheap particularly if you want to hire a van.

Normally when hiring overseas the collision damage excess is horrendous so they try and sell you the waiver insurance for £200 or so. I use the website reducemyexcess who will cover you for a year for about £40 or for a couple of weeks for about £30.

Leclerc is probably one of the most popular and cheapest van hire sites in France with over 350 van hire places around the country. I have no idea whether one way rentals are possible but here is the link. Yes, thanks I came across them during a google search earlier. They seem the cheapest so far. £30 per day which seems ok. Not sure if they do a drop off near Dieppe but that's just an added bonus.

Cheers, i'll check them out too. Actually thinking about it I know Leclerc but not as a van hire company, they're also a large hardware chain. They have one in Dieppe.

Thanks for that advice. It wasn't something I'd considered. I looked into it but reducemyexcess don't do vans but Questor do. Van excess is more expensive than cars, about £6.80 a day but still cheaper than doing direct with hire company. I'll definitely use it though because me driving a medium wheel base van through Paris is a recipe for disaster.
