It was suggested earlier in this thread that bouncing today might be a good idea.

You've probably all read/or heard about the story in the argus now.

If you cannot afford a financial contribution, please spend a little time to retweet or like on Facebook.

Many thanks for reading this, and for any past contributions either financial or spreading the word through social media.

Dear all

Not sure how, but amazingly £50,000 (half the target) has been raised in approximately 2 weeks.

This is incredible, and demonstrates in difficult times, people's generosity and the power and good through social media.

Above all it gives hope, so thanks to everybody who has liked, retweeted and donated.

Happy Sunday all

Target now at 60k. Amazing!
Thanks again to all who have retweeted, posted on Facebook and donated.

If by chance you get a chance to check the back of the sofa for loose change...
You know where to donate.
Many thanks
Enjoy the sunshine

Apologies for rebouncing again, but judging from the number of views this thread has had, a large number do care/appear interested.

Having been away a few days, I checked the just giving page 'cure4charley' and am delightfully surprised to see the target now at just past £74,000.

The power of social media has blown me away with this, as has many people's generosity.
Let's hope the target is reached soon, so treatment can begin.
Thanks all

Sorry to bounce again, but I bring good news.

Last night the £100,000 target was officially reached.

Many thanks to every single person who contributed, you'll know who you are!

Quite frankly amazing news. Really glad to hear it.

All the best to the family as the treatment progresses. I really hope it is a success

As someone who has had the best part of three years of extended life, thanks to the free-of-charge treatment that the NHS can afford to give me, I find this story both immensely cheering and terribly sad at the same time. Isn't life arbitrary in the way in which it treats people?

I missed this on here back in July, but heard about it elsewhere on Facebook the other day. Fantastic news that the total has been hit - all the best to Charley and I really hope she gets the immunotherapy soon
