I did attach a copyright thingy at the bottom of my site back in 2005 but i fear that this means nothing.

It means nothing.

You can't copyright an idea.

Although there is a market, your idea is only unique in that it's a very slight variation of what a million other (link directory) sites already do.

Most will rank their adverts based on links back to the main website, rather than bidding hard cash. Hopefully it's quirky enough to work, but don't go giving up the day job.

your dead right but it is an idea, has been fun and improved my web skills which is what i set out to do in the beginning. Just gonna try and push it as far is it goes, not relying on the money. Infact for this month i just wanna get as many banners on there for free at the moment.
