I fancy doing a music thread next week for NSC to vote for their best imaginary British supergroup. I was thinking there'll be semi final and final play-offs for the following positions:

Lead singer
Bassist
Rhythm guitar
Drummer

- do you think we need a keyboardist in this band too?

Basically, if I start flooding the board with polls are you all gonna get pissed off? If not, can I start having suggestions please for contenders and I'll collate, pop them in a hat and we'll go from there. Just like HKFC's biggest **** ever polls or the hardest animal polls.

...and please let me know if it's fixtures.

Criteria is that each person has to be generally accepted as British or play in a 'British' band so Freddie Mercury would count. Other than that, go for it.

Great minds and that. Definitely Marr and Morrissey. Would love to see Hooky (from New Order) or Mark King on Bass and Bonham on drums though.

Funnily enough I'm listening to "Strangeways here we come" right now!

...and what about Bernard Butler. Can't rule him out surely?

As he left floyd a year prior to me being born, I decided to leave him out. I know it's debatable whether they would have been the band they were without him but I never'experienced' him properly to pass judgement.

Has to be Hendrix on guitar, although and I find this hard to say as I think he was a god - not sure he'd fit into a band of superstars, or is that not the idea - is it just a virtual group?

Forgot to say does anyone know the real life Supergroup that John Lennon was in the process of forming just before he died? I only ask as I read a little snippet about it when researching a ltd edition guitar that I once nearly bought years ago....
