I'm from the other side of Sussex so no idea if that is anywhre near where he wants to go, but I did enjoy my visit to it in the summer

We're going to the Kings Arms, Fernhurst for New Years Eve, but the Christmas menu looks good. The pub has recently been refurbished and relaunched by Marco Pierre White, but the prices are very reasonable. The pub has a great selection of real ales and the accommodation is excellent.
