Would it not be better to win it on merit rather than by getting it swayed by the NSC vote?

I've been doing comedy in Brighton for 12 years. It was a chance for everyone who has seen me - and liked me - to vote for me. If I was rubbish, they wouldn't.

And for those who hadn't seen me, I included a YouTube link so they could judge for themselves, to see if I merited it.

So - in both cases - it is on merit, is it not?
