What has happened to your passing style and possession football? heard a lot about it and comparisons to us (Swansea) but seen a few games and it wasn't evident, also heard you've gone away from it since promotion.

The quality of individuals isn't there at present.

Only player is of Premiership quality at the moment. We need 11, ideally. Comparing us to you is a bit nonsensical at the moment, given the previous years you've had to hone your qualities.

But... this is work in progress. Anyone who thought we would zoom through this lack given the quality of players is not really with it.

Welcome. We've still been playing possession football but the final third has been lacking. Hopefully Gus will bring in better players next season who can implement this style better. We're a work in progress.

Similar to Swansea really, want to play a certain way but might need a couple of seasons at this level to get the right players in and then make a charge for the top floight. Yours is a good example to follow IMHO and we're certainly heading in that direction.

We gave it up well before we clinched promotion, to be honest.

it took swansea 3 years to get out of this division......we can certainly repeat this achievement, but it probably will take us that long to bring in the players needed to go up

Both teams play out from the back but the main difference for me is that when we are pressed we don't have the quality to keep to our principles

Also, I'm not sure we have enough quality players to pick the pace up when we get into the final third. Patient measured passing gets us there then we don't quite have the zip. It wilol come though, I'm sure - either through existing players being more experienced or by new players coming in. We're a long way from where we were when players like Sidwell used to chose other clubs becuase they preferred playing at a nice stadium rather than an athletics track!

Haha this! It is great to see a newly promoted side playing great football, not the lucky hoofy rubbish which usually keeps the newbies up. Hopefully you will become a permanent fitting in the prem. As for us, occasionally our football is superb, but other times it is just annoying. But that's because we lack a few experienced, quality players and need to settle our squad and make it more consistent.

We do play possesion football but with a difference, slowly and in our own half.
Have seen Swansea on TV a number of times and am very impressed,we did very well last season but dont have enough Championship standard players to do it again, not upset as we can look forward to maintaining a top half
position next season.

Swansea and Norwich are useful models to follow, making shrewd rather marquee signings, playing decent football and have comfortably established themselves in the Premiership without blowing a huge budget.

Don't Swansea have that guy in midfield who has (had?) the best pass completion record in European football (even better than the Barcelona lot)? We could do with someone like that who doesn't give the ball away too easily.

The change in our style has much to do with the Keeper of Choice,Casper being a throw/short pass it out to the defence. Peter Brezovan, the current first choice,is a long punt upfield merchant.
