I'm going to spend the rest of my bank holiday thinking of words that rhyme with Southampton now. :(

not a word as such, but Peter Frampton.

He produced a number of albums, one was called wind of change, and another somethin's happening...... coincidence...... I think not.

Hello Everyone

Here's something that I'm sure will be of interest to you.

It would appear that Brighton & Hove Albion are top of the Championship.
They have played 5 league games and they haven't lost yet.
The maximum number of points any football club can obtain from 5 games is 15
points - and Brighton & Hove Albion have 13.

It just so happens that this is a new record for the team.
Since they were formed in 1886 they have never obtained 13 points or more
from their first 5 matches.

On top of all this, whilst browsing through the Internet, sometimes referred
to as the World Wide Web I happened to stumble across the English football
leagues - and it would appear that Brighton & Hove Albion are top of the
Championship.

For anyone that doesn't know - the Championship is Division 2.
Division one consists of teams such as Arsenal who occasionally lose games
8-2.

However, in their first 5 matches, Brighton & Hove Albion have not lost 8-2.
In fact they haven't even lost 7-2 or even 1-0.
They haven't lost at all.

This means that Brighton & Hove Albion happen to be at the top of their
division which is called the Championship, which is really Division 2.

There is one division that is higher than the Championship. That is called
the Premiership and that contains very good teams such as Tottenham Hotspur
who sometimes lose 1-5 at home.

But while they were doing that Brighton & Hove Albion were top of their
division which is called the Championship.

Hello.
Do you like very funny stories?
Once upon a time there was a football club called Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace are below Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship League.
They are 6th.
This IS a very funny story, isn't it?

Do you like the letter L?
L stands for Leeds and Leicester.
They are also below Brighton & Hove Albion.

So are Leyton Orient, Luton and Lincoln
Ha Ha Ha

Would you like to play a little game?
A rhyming game?

Let's choose a football team.
Southampton - that's a good one.
Do you know a word that rhymes with Southampton?

Yes - you're right . . . Northampton
and guess what.
They are both below Brighton & Hove Albion - because Brighton & Hove Albion
are top of the Championship Football League.

And do you know why they are top?
Yes, because they haven't lost any of their games.
Aren't they a clever football team? And now I will leave you with a very very sad story.
It's called
"I was a Crystal Palace supporter"

That's all for today, children.
Tomorrow I will tell you a lovely story entitled
"Brighton & Hove Albion are top of the Championship."

Goodbye

I'm thinking that headband was probably too tight.

I don't think it was the headband that was too tight ...

Given Southampton's relentless chase of the Albion for nearly a year now I think "Show me the Way" would be my choice of song
