Tonight is insane. I have a three story house. I might have to sleep outside because bedroom on top floor is like a furnace.

You would have thought so but the forecast (up here at least) seems to be a return to 19 and grey skies without rain on Wednesday and Thursday. Supposed to be raining all day on Friday obviously as I’m going to the cricket. Not thunderstorms though.

London Fire Brigade have declared a state of emergency. There is a grass fire in Upminster with 35 fire engines, 175 firefighters with three hectares of a cornfield and scrubland ablaze and smoke blowing over the M25.


Kent firefighters are fighting a large grass fire at Dartford Heath right by the A2.
