This website was set up by Brighton fans because of the problems we experienced. It has a section for help and advice and details of your club's problems can be included on the site.

Always amuses me when people believe that the polarisation in Scotland couldn't happen elsewhere. When the inevitable eventually happens, and the Old Firm are away playing in a European league the SPL will get a lot more competitive. About that time, cities like Edinburgh will also become a lot more interested in its own football teams. Unfortunately, as we all know only too well, agreeing to knock down stadiums is the easy bit.

I'd of thought a groundshare with Livingston would be a good idea if you can't stop that tosser selling the ground from under you. It would give them revenue too if, as you say, they are in the poo too.

Sad day from me too I used to follow the Jam Tarts when I was up in Scotland.

It's shocking to hear of the state of things in Scottish football. My late Grandmother was an Edinburgh native, and my cousin is a Hearts (and Brighton) fan, so I've maintained a passing interest in them over the years, although I must confess I knew nothing of their current situation. I'd support a Fans United day if one were to be held, and would consider making the trip up there if that is feasible.

Keep us informed of what action you decide to take.

Whats wrong with the idea of them sharing with hibs ...wasnt hibs looking to move afew years back .. wouldnt a 20-25k stadium suit both teams ...one half hibs one half jambos ..just like the the italians do ala milan and rome etc...wouldnt be a bad idea for the likes of Dundee to do this too. both grounds backing on to each other.
Not only am i in favour of this in scotland but also in England ..itmakes economic sense for the likes of Liverpool and Everton to to the same..Both looking to build expensive 60k stadiums to accomodate fan base..whats wrong with them getting together to build say a 75k staduim which is shared.. Notts county and forrest is another ..Im all for tradition but if it meant clubs surviving and keeping their identity ..so be it..All this talk about clubs having been here for 80-100 yrs at certain grounds is fine ,but think back to when these clubs first started .. after a few years they tended to move to bigger grounds as they grew .. so isnt it a part of the clubs progression and not a destruction of their history .

The main reasons for them not sharing with Hibs are parochial. Hibs play in the east end, Hearts in the west end. There was talk of them both scrapping their grounds and moving to a new purpose built stadium on the City bypass but this was torpedoed more by Hibs fans than Hearts fans. The main advantage of Murrayfield over Easter Road is that it is only just over the railway line form Tynie. So the same pubs etc can be used before game. The bottom line is that we shouldn't be in this mess.

No advice I'm afraid, other than try to unite against not only a common enemy but also with a common solution - kicking out Archer and Bellotti only worked after we'd lost the Goldstone and gained Dick Knight.

Is there still a religion thing in Edinburgh? I seem to recall that Hibs are the cathlolic team and Hearts the protestant.

Their message board has tentatively suggested a Fans United day on March 27, (Hearts v Dundee) when we're away to Sheffield Wednesday.
