I understand not being a fan of Ariana Grande but to act like only 12 year olds know who she is just makes you look proper out of touch lol, she's a megastar. I'm not a fan, but I've heard of her and I've definitely heard that song.

Well I wasn't going to mention her as I didn't want to spoil it for anyone wanting to play but seeing as you have.....

I wouldn't know her if she was stood on Brighton beach in an Albion shirt with a seagull on her head (Albion reference there - google it). I've only heard of her because of the Manchester bombings. I genuinely couldn't tell you one of her songs. If that makes me out of touch then I guess I am. Not disputing she is a megastar, I'm sure she and most of the other artists in the hit parade today are very talented. Very unlikely I would have heard of any of them though.

So I stand by my original comment that I really like the idea and it's been well executed but pretty pointless for me and by the sound of others on this thread to play if it's going to be teenybopper stuff everyday.

I've definitely heard of her. And I've no doubt heard a song of hers but I couldn't name a single one

Yeah, you'd definitely recognise some of them! The thing is that at 50, I'm not going to be buying or streaming much of the hit parade stuff :) So, given that intros are rarely heard on the radio, it's going to be a struggle!!

My daughter is playing this and sent me a link, because she wanted help with Kanye's 'Black Skinhead'. At present, it seems extremely limited to vanilla pop, mainly from the US. I Tried typing in the names of some huge artists that are either older, or bigger in the UK than the States to see whether they are options that you could guess. No U2, no Beatles, no Fleetwood Mac, no Stormzy, No Madonna, no Dave, no Take That.

I'm not sure whether this is due to a rights issue, or because its been created by people with a very narrow idea of pop music, but it greatly limits the appeal of an interesting idea. They probably need to expand into providing options for different genres/eras. Ideally they need Harry Wilson's tackle to help develop it. I'd love to see Twitter aflame with complaints that American kids had listened to some Belgian dark wave tune for the full twelve and half minutes and still didn't know how to describe it, let alone identify it.

:lolol:

Look, I’ll tell you One Last Time, its easy to get this kind of knowledge Into You and after that it really shouldn’t be a Problem. The young lady might not be to your taste but she’s not a Dangerous Woman.

I’ll help you Break Free from your apparent knowledge gap - just follow my instructions. Focus, watch your Breathin’ and give your head a little wobble from Side to Side. Try different Positions if it helps. Then think of an inspirational image in your head; perhaps something celestial, like Saturn’s 7 Rings. Do a little maths equation - what’s 34+35 for instance? Make a little wish; nothing over the top, just something like “I hope the weather stays nice today and it doesn’t Rain on Me”.

And then, just like that, Bang Bang, you should now know the names of several of her songs. If it hasn’t worked then I Have No Tears Left to Cry.

Thank u, next
