Well done to the Argus, the only section of the media to get it right.

The headline is YES (ish)
and sub-headline is

Prescott orders reopening of stadium enquiry.

It says he has not come down in favour of the stadium, but crucially, he has not ruled out the plan.

A third inspector will preside over the hearing.

I expect the Argus read the report prior to going to press. SCR broadcast without all the facts.

To be fair to Richard Lindfield, I don't know how much editorial input he has at Southern FM. I imagine he just reads what is put in front of him by the production team - he's an Albion fan through and through whether you agree with his comments in the Leader or not, I can't imagine for one minute he'd deliberately mis-inform Albion fans regarding Falmer.

He could have told his production team it was wrong - a few seconds logging on to NSC/NSP would have told him that. Very, very disappointing for someone of his record of support for the club and contacts.

But this is what you get when you don't have properly trained jounalists handling big stories.

I have got a lot to say about the performance of local broadcast jounalists today but I'll wait til I've calmed down a bit.

biscuit, you seem to have missed the crucial 'since hoille's report' from the beginning of that quote.

safeway is right with his actual statement of 'since hoille's report, the argus has been 100% behind the Falmer campaign'.

That was editing that the nimbys would have been proud of!

ta, Im a trainee NIMBY you see. At the moment Im just complaining to the local council about overgrown verges but im working my way up to bigger things.
