remember days at swansea when they tried to jump into our end, amoungst other incedents

Ah, I remember that one!! Especially as I thought i'd be clever and do a load of charlie on the journey down :nono: Felt a little "wierd" to say the least, when their fans came trotting over to our end, seeing as I was f***ked out of my brains :(

None of them had the bollocks though to jump into our end (maybe the 10ft drop and the fact we had our own hoolies at that game made them see sense? ;) )

i think it was thew first one.....ninja???

Because I used to be an Albion nut I actually went to both those games!!! And I was racking my brains earlier which one it was because I remember Nogan playing in one, and Reinelt playing (should have scored down our end ;) ) in the other

The game I'm referring to was the 1994 game.....

PS We had a firm in attendance at the game that day (Littlehampton lads) and I seem to recall one had a very lurid/disguisting hawaiian shirt on that may or may not have been the catalyst that started the "banter" with the Swansea loons to our left that finished with them jumping over their hoardings to get to us!!!

Early 70's as I remember there were in the main three crews, Bosun (Brighton), Clifton (Worthing) who used to link with some of the Lancing lot travel wise (The ICC bus!). Another crew used to originate from Haywards Heath.

Some occasions all three would work together, sometimes independently. Clifton, although certainly in the nutter element, would only fight opposition fans, and were known to spring to the defence of some of the younger/elderly elements from the regular buses, charter trains.

However 'mischief' was never far away. Glorious incident late 70's. Opposition fan making the usual hand signs whilist on the outskirts of Peterborough. Coach grinds to a halt, Cyril the driver proudly announces to bus. I am not putting up with that, go and sort him out boys.

Look on Pboro fans face when we all piled out of the bus had to be seen to be belived. He was duly punished after a very athletic chase through a local park.

i remember that minute when they all jumped over their fence on the left of us and came running over to our fence and tried to climb up - only to be greeted with a fearsome mob in our end tring to get up and over to them!

looked like a challenge out of the Kripton Factor!!:lolol:

Perhaps the passing of age has made me lose my mind, but as I recall it, Swansea weren't prepared to risk a broken ankle in jumping down into our end, and there was no way of Brighton getting up and over the barriers! No punches thrown, just alot of gobbing, which is hardly very manly!!! Police and stewards were rubbish, they did nothing to prevent it
