I think he found it difficult at Rochdale and had a problem coping with big CFs

Yes, but he had a much bigger problem playing in a very poor Rochdale team which got relegated.

As well as Roberts, we now have several players in limbo-land between the U23s and the 1st. team (Richards, Caicedo, Khadra if he doesn't go on loan, Karbownik, for example). Loans are a possibility - but if they stay 'at home' this season, playing in the cups and mainly bench-warming, they're all eligible (I think) for the EFL Trophy. A mickey mouse trophy, yes, I know, but we're remarkably short of trophies - but it woukd be fantastic if we could have a day out at Wembley and become the first PL2 club to win (or even get very far) that competition!

Falmer, soon...
I think he's similar to White. He would be superb on the left of a back 3 as a progressive ball playing defender and he may also adapt to a DM. As a traditional CB even last night aerially he wasnt quite there but you can see the quality and class.

Don't worry, Dunk and Webster can cover that until Tone has pocketed the £50M

I've thought about him for the LWB role... mainly because he is world class there on my Football Manager save.

Roberts played Zeqiri in beautifully for his first half miss.

I personally think he should stay this season as left back cover if we're not getting Cucerella. He must be a better option than Gross.

This season we're well covered at centre back. But next season, I think we should pick one out of our crop of young centre backs and back him with serious minutes in the team, so whether that is Roberts, Van Whatshisname, Clarke, Ostigard. Pick the one most likely to succeed and stick with them

But to know that you need to do that in a year's time and have a year to consider it, isn't a bad position to be in

The fact he is left footed and relatively comfortable with the ball I think he will stay with us this season.

Potential loan in January if he isn’t utilised
