....(again) according to the Argus.

He will be operated on next week in Sweden and be back to training in 8 weeks or so. Realistically after rehab that means he will be back as a "new" centre half for next season.

A good thing............................................?

???

No not really, because he should be shipped out immediately. Where has the Donkey gone to the Vets?!

I sort of understand where you are coming from. I wouldn't be offering him a new contract when his expires if I were manager. However, I think we do have a responsibility to fix any players that we break, especially if they are still under contract.

Ridiculous. He is carrying a serious injury and it would be disgraceful if the club paid up his contract and pushed him out the door.

I quite liked Hawkins. He started off well, got injured and then never really regained fitness. Certainly does not deserve the sort of abuse he is subject to on here.

Hawkins should of gone in the Summer, we're paying his wages which could be spent on somebody else. After his knee injury, he hasn't be the same since. I will fondly remember the best ever OG I think I've ever seen against Hartlepool, what a fantastic diving header that was. And getting sent off after just coming on this season. You can't tell me, you don't think he should of gone in the Summer can you BOF?!

im glad he will get his injury sorted, he may not have a future at our club but at least if he's fixed he will have a future in football.

Good luck in the recovery, but I would be very surprised if Hawk will get back into the team, especially after this further lay off, I am sure the new back four will be established by next season and he will not be in it.

To be honest I think he will be told his pro footballing career is over in which case his insurance will pay out and he will be able to pursue a new career. Car salesman ?

Good that we are getting his injury sorted but can't see him getting another contract so from a purely selfish we are a lower league club thing can we really afford to send him to Sweden to be repaired? What is wrong with the local hospital
