Contempt on here towards Vance and Trump is good to see. Unfortunately the 'misguided' (euphemism) American public voted in these child gangsters decisively, in spite of what we all learned from his first term.

That planned, co-ordinated televisual mugging foreshadows immense dangers to come for all of us...... and I am genuinely trying hard to think of where we can find any hope for the future of the world.

Trump said he would end the war, he knows he has no power over Putin, he knows he can control Zelenskyy because of the aid he can or can choose not to give.

This is about trump trying to end the war any way he can, whether Ukraine like it or not.

America can’t be relied upon anymore, maybe in 4 years time they can again but in the meantime we will need to help Ukraine.

As I am sure you will be aware, there is a difference between 'ending the war' (which Trump can certainly achieve) and 'peace' (which seems not to really interest him at all); the first situation mentioned will become a simmering, deadly mess, the second would be an equitable, long term solution and is beyond Trump's vision.
