I doubt that I will now but many years ago I had the opportunity to buy a tatty one for £750. A decent one is now around 45k

It was that car, that got me to the GTA. It had the Alpine name too but wasn't able to replicate the "Je ne sais quoi"

I know the GTA and came very close to buying one about 10 years ago, instead I went for a Porsche 968 Cabriolet, which I still have but don't really love that much!

Not yet, no.

I've always wanted a VW T2 split screen with safari windows, ideally in Albion-ish blue and white.

For a decent one nowadays, it will be the best part of £30k.

There's a funny thing. I love cars but both of the above leave me stone cold.

On the other hand I wish I'de never sold my Saab 9000 Aero (especially as the feller I sold it to has had several years of virtually trouble free motoring).

That's why we're called individuals :)

My dream car is the SL300 Gullwing. In silver with red leather. I will never own that car. To rare and far too expensive!! Instead I'll settle for my 15 year old green astra which costs hardly anything to run!! Absolute beaut!! ;)

My choice would have been a V12 E type jag. I was lucky enough to have to settle for a 1971 chrome bumper MGB convertible. Unfortunately it was built to rust and I lacked the skills as a mechanic and the finances to maintain it. I sold it to a bloke who had a centrally heated garage and was prepared to cherish the MG, virtually giving it away, but ensured its long term survival.

I always wanted to own a Ford Sierra. Since before I took my test I just saw them as good, sturdy, working men's cars. I also liked the interior design. No frills. So I did eventually buy one.
