I'd love a Ferrari, the 458 is my favourite, really stereotypical I know but I just love them. I'm still only 36 so I have time!!!

I'm gonna need a better paying job first though.

A more important dream is one day owning my own place but that's increasingly unlikely every day that passes so perhaps I should just concentrate on the car, if I save enough then in 15-20 years the car may be at the top end of my price range��

Yes, My dream car from being a youngster was a 911, and I bought one when I was 29 in 1995, loved it, but it was a serious drain of finances so sold it after 5 years or so. I guess I got it out of my system, no real hankering for something like that any more.

I currently own not my dream car but a very nice car. I will soon be downgrading and embarking on a massive change of life, will probably never own a car like it again, unless my business plans really do work to my dream plan.

Not yet, but I can still dream. AM V8 Vantage - I came close; found one I could afford to buy but was not sure I could afford to look after it so turned it down. Shortly after that I got divorced and gave away all the money.

I now have a car I have wanted for a very long time - TR7 V8 convertible and it is an absolute joy.

Yes, I owned a Metallic Grey Peugeot 205GTi in 1989. The era of 'hot hatches' - it was fabulous and showed up loads of supposedly faster cars, f*ck me could it corner!

I now drive a sensible Diesel Estate but still ride my 'Tiger Stripe' CBR600F2!

I had a mk1 Escort Mexico for a while and loved it. At the time it was my dream car, however it turned out to be a money pit and an MOT pretty much broke me.
I had a mate who's dream car was a Porsche 928 S4 and he bought one after a promotion at work. Unfortunately he ignored a red warning light on the dash one morning on his way into work. He learnt a valuable lesson(5 grand) about Porsche warning lights..

Yes. My third car was a red Triumph Stag, which was a total nightmare in every conceivable way - but for the 15% of the time that it worked, it was worth every single penny. Current "fun car" is a Jaguar XJR, which is a lot more family friendly - but I still miss the Staaaaaaag!

It wasn't from my dreams but from one of my my favourite films, layer cake, an A6 avant (audis fancy name for estate!)
Couldn't afford the R6 sadly as they have in the film but got as close as I could.

I doubt that I will now but many years ago I had the opportunity to buy a tatty one for £750. A decent one is now around 45k
