...and has anyone done a yard of LAGER?!

Hats off is so, I could never get close to. Yard of hot dogs maybe but...

What it feel like? Pressure I guess because whole pub would be watching!

I was at an event in the early 80's where they were having a yard of ale competition. I didn't take part as i know there is a technique involved, and I didn't fancy wearing most of it. As I sat at the bar the Mc announced the next contestant a woman of about 5 feet high walked on stage. the guy behind the bar tapped me on the shoulder and said "watch this, world record-holder. I think it was 6 or 7 seconds from memory.

I am sure I saw Simster beat Canairian Seagull (Lance, RIP) in a drink off once. Not sure if it was a yard or a regular pint though.
Not lager but ale, yes. Also could do a sub 4-second pint albeit 20 odd years ago.

I have always been able to drink beer quickly. I am another who regularly managed sub 4 second pints.

I was in a pub where somebody volunteered and basically sipped it down. So I foolishly had a go. Got it all down in one fairly quickly. And back up again not long after.

The most curious thing..
It's a very messy process...... both down and back up

When I was at Uni, there was a girl on my course who did a yard of snakebite in one go.... I ended up marrying her!

So, the OP has claimed they can probably do a yard of hot dogs in one go, and we're all just gonna let it go?

Recently read the autobiography of the US Navy Seal who allegedly killed Bin Laden. As part of the Seal initiation recruits would (apparently) drink a yard of ale, the bulb of which was entirely filled with whisky, their mouths not allowed to leave the glass once they started, some of them drinking down their own puke repeatedly in an attempt to pass the test.

Will it help getting through the rest of this game?

I have found over the years that people who are very confident about their ability to do things they've never tried or seen often offer great opportunities for entertainment. Do you mind if I just follow you around for a while (obviously virtually as I'm a bit old for West Street) :lolol:

You’re probably right, but downing is one of my few skills.

Follow away
