Never been to one and other than the 1966 tournament I have never been that bothered.

Actually I tell a lie, I went to the England game at the Goldstone when Wardy got a game!

Interested to know if I am right in thinking that most of you have been.

El Tel’s first game in charge versus Denmark. Platt scored early in the first half and it finished 1-0.

Not really an England fan, so that might well be my one and only time attending a game.

Yes, Dublin 1995

First and last. Saw half an hour of football and half an hour of rioting.

Breakfast at the B & B was a bit tetchy the next day with an Irish bloke and his son having a go at ME about it.

I went at the last minute to the game against France after the terrorist attack in Paris. A very moving occasion.

Loads, went to every tournament from 96 onwards until England didn't and loads of away qualifiers. The experience is so totally different from that seen externally, I've never seen any trouble and always felt wanted and welcome wherever we were....

Started going late 80’s to Wembley games, soon found out a way to get in for nothing. Went to the last game at the old Wembley v Germany and the first full England game at the new Wembley against Brazil.
After Euro 96 joined the England members club and went to Germany v England 1-5 game, Tunisia game in Marseille France 98, V Argentina in Sapporo 2002 , Paraguay and Portugal in Germany 2006, away in Azerbaijan, away friendly in South Africa , Amsterdam a few times and the last game was the Euro final 2021.
Might take a look if we get through on Wednesday.

When I was at school we used to travel up from melksham every home game to Wembley ( our PE Staff were mad keen) and then we did the same from Falmer school. Went with the junior seagulls a few times too.

biggest win…Malcolm macdonalds 6 vs Cyprus
worst. 0-0 vs Saudi Arabia

Done quite a few home matches as well as Slovakia away and went over for the whole of Euro 2004 in Portugal, watching all the England games. Also went to England v Scotland in Euro 96 at the old Wembley Gazza’s wonder goal. Good times.

Yep, similar experiences. There's something amazing being at a tournament knowing there are millions of people watching at home. The Brighton Euro tour last season brought back some of those memories. The main difference I found to watching England away in a tournament to back home is that you just don't get all that media insanity and it's much more chilled. It's like being the eye of the storm rather than being battered by endless headlines and hyperbole.

Used to go to the Scotland-England Home International games. It would be at Wembley one year, Hampden the next year. This was the old Hampden. One year I went, 1970, the attendance at Hampden was 137,000
That what I call proper England supporting. All that way!

Voted 'other'. Watched 'England' twice, but just not the grown-up team.
Went with the school to a Schoolboy International at Wembley in 1960(?) (maybe '61). England vs. Wales - we won 8-0 or 8-1; John Sissons of West Ham scored five of them.
A few years earlier, whilst living in Polegate, my dad took me to Eastbourne (Devonshire Park??) to watch England youth XI vs. France youth XI. Pitch roped off, bloke came round to collect the ticket money as the match was being played. England lost 1-0. Stand out performer was a left half (younger readers please just ask your grandad what that was) from West Ham (again) listed in the programme (which I've still got ................... somewhere!) as R. Moore.
Wonder whatever happened to him?
