[Albion] Have we, at some point in our seasons in the EFL/EPL, occupied every position between 1-92?

Sure there was a 6 season period where a team went from div 4 to div 1 and back again.
Might be incorrect but I think it was N?
Northampton Town managed that in the 60s. Between 2000 and 2006, Albion managed 5 changes of league.

We finished bottom of Division 3 South in 1947-48, and to round it off, New Brighton finished bottom of Division 3 North. I reckon that qualifies Brighton to have been the very bottom team. However, there were only 86 teams.

I thought it would be interesting to see how many different FINAL league placings we've been in according to this site. I put it into Excel and here are the placings we've had:

88-92 were all occupied at some point in the 96/97 season.

80, 82, 83, 85 and 86 were occupied at some point in 97/98.

71, 73, 78 in 98/99.

We can add 81 from 99/00.

I've been able to verify every position between 76-92

I've not managed to find a Div 3 4th place (72) and also no 7th (75) place... yet.

Edit: Now found a 4th position and a 7th position in the 1963/64 campaign, meaning Brighton have occupied all of the lowest 24 positions at some point or another... if I'm not missing anything while bathing all these numbers.

If you were to class Wimbledon and AFC Wimbledon as one, they must also be a decent shout since they came into the League in 1977? (and were in the top flight for 15 years)

It's easier for you to do this than me, as you have this in Excel already...

What is our average end of season position over our history?

It really isn't. I didn't save it.

But let's pretend it's 56th loosely based on a visual of distribution.

42.6 if we are to trust ChatGPT (made it double and triple check to get it right)
