Have Harry and Jim already gone from Portsmouth?

The writing was on the wall as soon as they'd called for the press conference.

What else would it have been for?

To say "Thank you all for coming, just to let you all know that I am still manager of Portsmouth. There will be another press conference the same time tomorrow to let you know if the situation changes."

Mandaric is no fool and must have been aware that appointing somebody over Harry was bound to bring repercussions and was obviously prepared for it.

Will Harry now be able to buy Bournemouth as he has hinted he would like to one day.

I do not hink that MA would work under similar conditions at either Portsmouth or Southampton.

I had a bet last year that MA wil be manager of Leeds before 2005 and an England team either U21 or Full by 2010. I will stick with that.

Funny that Harry was upset with the arrival of a director football and thought that it was a useless role, yet he arrived in that capacity at Pompey a few years ago when Rix was the manager, and was prepared to take over as manager shortly after.

Redknapp made no bones of the fact that he was bored off his arse as "Director of Football" at Pompey though, and was itching to get back to management. It made sense to give Rix the heave-ho, otherwise Redknapp would have chucked in his job as Director of Football anyway and Pompey would have lost him back then.
