at my school in south london in the early 80's

I tried to get a job with a diamond drilling firm years back but I was told a not to bother as they only employ Asians. Also got abuse for being white in East/North London when I lived there.

Yep.

Abuse is abuse.

Racial discrimination is different.

Abuse with a racial add-on for a prosecution is out or order, but that is English Law, Wrong, I think. Abuse is much worse.

The Police were called, of course.

at my school in south london in the early 80's, you could be literally best friends with a black boy, but have a fight with someone else black , and you were white and literally the whole black population of the school would fight you , your mate included, this is 100% true, i literally defy ANYONE who went to state school in south london in the 80's to deny it.
Or maybe you were just a **** and they wanted to beat you up anyway:lol::):D:cool:

1. Ginger is not a race 2. Racism is more than a choice word, its a deep seated, nasty attitude as displayed by not one english born black guy in the rugby union team 3. We can agree to differ but you cannot tell people they are wrong, they just do not agree with you and it is this mob rule that blackmails people into one opinion that I dislike most. When I hear it, i understand how people were burnt at the stake for saying the world was round

Black isnt a race either.

It's a physical trait of certain peoples. Just as ginger/red hair is also a physical trait of some peoples.

Racism is targetting people due to physical AND cultural traits.

During a world cup a few years back, I was living in Over Street by Brighton station. My missus was South African. She was supporting Brazil...?.. no idea why, but thats life.
When they were playing Scotland, and scored...she cheered loudly.
The Scotsman across the road, who was drunk....again..... became quite abusive and was shouting at her to go back to her own country.
I couldnt resist going to the window and inviting him to f*** off back to his. He lost his mind haha.

Why has he let you down. THe abuse you got at school was racial, and compltely out of order.

I've been called a white ****, a useless **** on the pitch, and also have called someone a black **** during a game. It happens, get over it. Not everyone targets a coloured player, its just said in the heat of the moment. Same as not doubt bald people are reguallry called bald ***** in heat of battle. In the heat of tnhe moment, you pick the most obvious thing to say and say it, Cause I called someone a black ****, doesn't make me any more racist than a black person calling me a white ****. At the end of the game, well half time actually, we both apologised to each other and got on with it. Probably not the proudest moment of either of our careers, but no harm done.

If a player reguallry goes and makes comments like that, then yes, labeled him a racist, but FFS dont get offended by the odd slip up.

People going into a stadium with bananas to throw at black players is clearly disgusting and racist.

Someone like ROn Akinson calling someone a lazy black bastard, as a one off slip of the tongue isn't.

I think people have got to have a closer look at the meaning of rasicm. Its the hatred of another race, based on culture or colour. Calling someone a blsck or white **** in the heat of the moment, is no worse than calling someone a bald **** in the heat of the moment. Neither are really meant with any true meaning, its just a put down, and if anyone, black or white can be instulted by a one off comment about the colour of their skin, I think its them with the issue. More and mroe in this country people seem to like to get offended, even when it has f*** all to do with them!!!!

For the recorded, I have travelled to Asia, Africa and elsewhere in the world many times before, and plan to many times in teh future, and love seeing different cultures. SO before labeling me racist, would someone who clearly loves placing themseleves in other cultrues be a racist?? Its an over used term, that is becoming very boring. Yes, there is awful rasicm in this world, but lets not get to owrked up over the odd comment during a football match.

good post exactly what I would and have said

You have a good memory. And for the record I did attend a state school, in south london in the 80's. There were bullie sthere as there in any school. Whatever school I did or didn't attend it makes not a jot of difference to the chip on your shoulder, your narrow view of the world and your never ending ability to judge an entire race of people 'cos some black kid got pissed off with you and belted you one in the playground or someone threw a shitty nappy at your window. Ever stop to question why these things happen to you?

I went to Cheam c of e School for boys in 79 and 80, and although there was always a slight air of racism I can't remember it being like that.

Although this was Cheam i suppose and not London proper.

Yeah whereabouts in south london did you go to state school ? i quite simply dont believe you, these things happen to people because they live in these places nibble, not cloud cuckoo land like you, and for the record these things happened , and where , may i ask have i "judged an entire race of people" by simply pointing out that anti white racism happens, that is the trouble , any debate is stifled by know nothing pricks like yourself with little or no experience of what actually goes on outside of sussex.

I went to a school in Sutton. Doubt it was as rough as your school, I mean how could it be eh! Anyway, I have no doubt you are probably right. I hope everything gets better for you soon and that the blacks and asians call a truce to this war they seem to be waging on you.
