Feeling quite nostalgic for Guy Fawkes today not being in the country.

Was remembering some of the public information films of my youth so had a look at YouTube.

Bloody hell, is it any wonder people in the UK are shit scared of letting their kids out of their sight?

Where's YOUR child tonight??? BANG accuse accuse accuse!

In London village.
Who are they burning in Lewes tonight then?

Not telling but there is a great Battle of Britain tribute at the Cliffe Firesite tonight.

We've got a local policeman starting our bonfire at 5:30pm. Promises to be a fantastic night.

Lewes it is, with a fairly large group of friends.
Not that up for it, trains will be a nightmare and the weather looks awful. Anyone else going know what the deal is with trains?

They're ok, but there'll be a long queue if you don't leave early. Make sure you and your friends are drunk so you can entertain each other in the queue. If you get desperate, tell the stewards you're going to London, then join the tiny queue for that. Everyone who notices will hate you but sometimes it has to be done.

I've just given up my Cliffe ticket...think I'm getting too old...

Where I live bonfire night is a distant second event to the far bigger Divali. To me a great shame that we are gradually losing our history to foreigners.

Won't be seeing many fireworks tonight...

I plan on going to the firework display opposite the Greyhound stadium tomorrow after the footie. If the weather is anything like it is now, I'll be giving it a miss this year.

I shall be watching Commercial square fireworks from the comfort of my patio....the firesite is about 500 yards away. Loads of people over, loads of grub cooked, loads of beer, should be a good night.

Same as. And if I can persuade Mrs P, we'll be going to the dog racing afterwards.

It's just the normal services to Lewes, there are no extra trains tonight therefore it will be very busy as people try to get into Lewes.
